About the Author

 

Cornelia Hoogland attributes her childhood on densely wooded Vancouver Island, B.C. with her love of the fairy tale, Little Red Riding Hood.  Hoogland’s 6 books of poetry have won awards and have been shortlisted for the CBC literary awards multiple times.  Her newest book is Crow (Black Moss Press, 2011).  A chapbook titled Gravelly Bay with Alfred Gustav Press, is forthcoming in 2012. Hoogland is the founder and the co-artistic director of Poetry London, an organization that brings prominent writers into lively discussion with London writers and readers.  She teaches at the University of Western Ontario and can be reached at chooglan@uwo.ca. Hoogland divides her time between London, ON., and Hornby Island, B.C.
